We recommend packing the following to ensure you have everything you need to enjoy yourself whatever the weather! Please ensure all kits is labelled with full name and that no valuables are brought.
warm blanket (to supplement sleeping bag on colder nights)
pillow (to save on space you can bring just a pillowcase and stuff with soft clothing e.g. fleece)
small towel (if you’re staying two nights or less you probably won’t shower but could be useful for face washing!)
small daypack/rucksack (this will be packed with some essentials for your first day at camp - waterproofs, water bottle, packed lunch, sun cream, sunglasses & sun hat)
reuseable water bottle
bag for wet/dirty clothes
lunch box with packed lunch for 1st day
body wash/soap (if staying more than two nights. Ideally environmentally friendly as shower water ends up in reeedbed)
any personal medication (this can be handed to teacher for safe keeping and administering where appropriate)
NB if bringing deodorant please ensure it is not an aerosol as, if accidentally sprayed on canvas on tents, will cause it to deteriorate rapidly.
Please bring sufficient clothing for the duration of your stay bearing in mind you will be outdoors and the Cornish Spring/Summer can be unpredictable! Suggested clothing includes:
trousers/tracksuit (trousers are essential as they are required to be worn when walking to activity locations out of the main camp e.g. the woodland).
waterproof jacket - ESSENTIAL
waterproof trousers - ESSENTIAL
hat & gloves (for night-time outdoor activities)
trainers (for general life around camp and climbing activity)
spare pair of trainers if possible in case one pair get wet
book to read
